For the capsules produced by the traditional molding method, because the core mold is not positioned at the initial stage of the extrusion of the rubber material, it is easy to cause the uneven extrusion density of the rubber material, resulting in the phenomenon of uneven thickness such as thin. In addition, the filling amount of the rubber material is greater than the weight of the capsule, which results in more waste rubber at the submouth, especially in the mold parting surface, which needs to be trimmed and polished afterwards. The molding method is difficult to produce thin capsules below 4mm. In order to prevent the lack of glue, scar and other defects caused by insufficient glue, the only way is to increase the filling amount of glue, and the excess glue will overflow the mold, which is also the main reason for the flash of the capsule produced by the molding method.


The capsule produced by injection method has been pressurized and locked during injection, and the glue is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure with uniform and dense texture. The in-mold pressure during injection is much higher than the in-mold pressure of the molding process, which prevents the defects such as the lack of glue and bright scar caused by insufficient rubber material in the molding process. The qualified rate of products is increased and the rejected rate is reduced. The injection production process of the capsule is to feed the pre-prepared rubber strip into a cold feeding extruder driven by a hydraulic motor, and then push it into the injection cylinder after plasticizing. When the pre-set rubber capacity is reached, the extruder stops feeding, and the rubber in the injection cylinder is injected into the mold cavity under the strong driving force of the injection plunger. The rubber in the mold cavity is vulcanized and taken out, which is the finished product. The injection method is used to produce capsules, the previous process is simplified, and the pre-forming and weighing are no longer required after the rubber filtration, which can reduce the operation labor and reduce the production labor cost.


The capsule produced by injection method has the effect of extrusion, shearing and high temperature and pressure during feeding and injection, so that the inner texture of the capsule is uniform and dense, and the molecular network crosslinking is sufficient than the molding method. Such a capsule has small deformation and long service life when vulcanizing tires. According to the actual use of foreign tire factories, the service life of injection capsules is generally about 40% longer than that of moulded capsules, and the number of uses is constant, and it is easy to master the time of changing capsules. If the thin-wall capsule with a thickness below 4mm is used, the thermal conductivity increases, which can shorten the tire vulcanization time and improve the tire production capacity. The injection thin capsule can improve the uniformity and balance of the tire and reduce the scrap rate by 20-25%.
